For the past 17 months, Hunt Town has run the Clap Program — one of the most heartwarming and impactful experiments on Base.
Clap wasn’t just a point system — it was a way for builders to recognize, cheer, and support each other, turning appreciation into real impact.
The Journey So Far
During 17 seasons of Clap:
306,182,411 tips & claps were given and received
74,678 clappers joined in
921 builders earned HUNT grants
What started as a small experiment grew into a defining social layer for the Base builder community — a lovely onchain rhythm of giving and gratitude.
How the Program Evolved
Phase 1 (Season 1–7)
A monthly builder program where only the top 3 could earn Builder Grants. It worked, but it was too competitive — leaving new builders feeling left behind.
Phase 2 (Season 8–17)
We switched to a daily system. This change sparked consistent motivation, more projects, and a vibrant builder culture across Hunt Town and Farcaster.
Season 12: The Clap App Experiment
As the ecosystem grew, it became hard to find what to clap for — so we built the Clap App, a mini-app inspired by swipe-right and swipe-up interactions.
It made discovery fun, engagement simple, and gave newcomers on Farcaster an instant way to explore builders’ creations.
Over time, Clap became a symbol of Base’s spirit — a positive-sum community where builders lift each other up.
Stepping Up: The Hunt Town Co-op
Now it’s time to evolve. We’re moving from clapping for posts to backing real onchain projects.
The Hunt Town Co-op is the first onchain cooperative (Co-op) model for Web3 builders and backers — a shared economy where:
Builders:
Launch project tokens backed by HUNT
Raise liquidity through the Co-op economy
Backers:
Support projects daily using Backing Point (BP)
Or directly mint project tokens with ETH, USDC, or HUNT
Every project in the Co-op is powered by HUNT, the reserve asset that connects all projects and NFTs in the ecosystem. As builders launch new tokens, HUNT gets locked into bonding curve pools, growing the Co-op’s TVL and strengthening the economy.
Unlike traditional launchpads, the Co-op links every participant through a shared value layer — when one project succeeds, everyone benefits.

Yes. Season 17 is the final season of Clap. The Hunt Town Co-op officially launches on December 3, 2025.

Yes. Anyone with Hunt Building NFTs or Bonus Backing Points (BP) can back projects. Even without BP, you can directly mint project tokens with ETH, USDC, or HUNT.

BP are daily points you can use to support projects. The more Building NFTs you hold, the more BP you earn each day.
Q3. How are BP distributed?
Main Building: 1,000 BP daily
Mini Building: 100 BP daily
Bonus Points are awarded based on 1) onchain activity and 2) Farcaster engagement.
Q4. How do Backers receive rewards?
You support projects with BP, and claim the corresponding tokens the next day. More BP means more rewards.
Q5. Can Backers choose which projects to support?
Yes! Backers are free to allocate their BP to projects they like, giving them full control and the fun of choosing where to contribute.

You can join as a builder by launching a HUNT-backed project token, or as a backer by minting tokens daily with BP and supporting projects you believe in. Every contribution strengthens the Co-op and increases potential rewards.
